Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 1, 2026
Overview
HyperGuard ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our browser extension for Hyperliquid trading.
TL;DR: We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Information We Do NOT Collect
HyperGuard is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Wallet addresses or private keys
- Trading history or positions
- Account balances or financial data
- Browser history or cookies
- IP addresses or location data
- Any form of analytics or telemetry
How the Extension Works
HyperGuard operates entirely within your browser and communicates only with Hyperliquid's public API endpoints. Here's how it works:
- The extension reads publicly available data from api.hyperliquid.xyz
- All calculations (liquidation prices, risk metrics, PnL) are performed locally in your browser
- No data is ever sent to our servers — we don't have any servers
- Your preferences are stored locally using your browser's storage API
Local Storage
The extension may store the following data locally on your device:
- Your display preferences (theme, layout options)
- Alert thresholds you've configured
- Risk percentage settings
- UI state (minimized/expanded)
This data never leaves your browser and can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data.
Desktop Notifications
HyperGuard may request permission to send desktop notifications for liquidation alerts. These notifications:
- Are generated entirely locally based on your settings
- Do not transmit any data externally
- Can be disabled at any time through your browser settings
- Are optional and the extension works without them
Third-Party Services
The extension connects only to Hyperliquid's official public API to fetch market data. We have no affiliation with Hyperliquid and do not control their data practices. Please refer to Hyperliquid's privacy policy for information about their data handling.
We do not integrate with any analytics services, advertising networks, or other third-party data collectors.
Open Source
HyperGuard's source code is available for review on GitHub. We encourage security researchers and developers to audit our code and verify our privacy claims. Transparency is fundamental to our approach.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
If we ever make material changes that affect user privacy, we will notify users through the extension or our website before the changes take effect.
